Mommy in GA: I was in my bathroom the other day, so very excited to use my avon mascara and I pulled the wand out but, lo and behold there was no wand!!  The wand was stuck in the mascara tube, NOW WHAT?????? Oh I know I will just use my Nikki's Magic Wand and all will be right with the world, eyelashes all pretty and everything!

This is a really cool product, and this is also a very true story :)  I did not have to return my product or throw it away (THANK GOODNESS cause I LOVE my mascara) because like magic Nikki's Magic Wand was there to save the day.......and my eyelashes!!!

Here you can see the shape of the magic wand.  Notice the angled design : )

It fit in the mascara wand hole with room to spare.

Mommy in PA:  This is a great product!!!  I don't know how many times I've thrown away lip gloss over the past twenty years or so.  Just imagine how much product we end up tossing just because we can't get it out.  Well not anymore thanks to Nikki and her magic wand : )
It worked perfectly for my mascara.  Totally worth the $9.95 to get the last 10-20 percent of the product left in the tube that you can't normally reach.  This will pay for itself in no time.
I also love the fact that it comes in its own handy case.  Not only is it stylish but totally functional.  Great for traveling when you don't have a way to clean it up when you are done, just put it in the case and clean it when you get home.

"Tippy and the Runaway Cloud"

disclaimer:  We received the book below for free in exchange for our honest opinions.  All opinions remain our own.
"Tippy and the Runaway Cloud"
by Theodora Klein-Carroll
The corn plants are in need of rain.  It is up to Tippy to save the day.  Tippy and his loyal cloud pony, Misty must find Puffy Cloud and bring him back to water the corn plants.  But will Grumpy Lumpy get in the way?  You'll just have to read it to find out.  There are also pictures that your kids can color and cut out to make a mobile of the characters.
Here's what Mommy in GA and Mommy in PA's children thought of the book:
Mommy in GA:My 11 year old decided that she is too big for these stories but, my 9 and 8 year old lisened to it, they thought it was ok BUT my 4 year old LOVED it!!!  He loves trains and cowboys......if you read the story you will get the reference as to why he was so tuned in!!!

I think that this is very cute for your preschool children, it helps explain the need that plants have for water and how they get it in a more simplifies way than what we learn as we get older :)

This was a great little story and the pictures were good, LOVE LOVE LOVE the idea of a mobile in the back for the kids' to have something to play with as well :)

Mommy in PA:  My 8 year old son was interested in the mobile that you can cut out of the back of the book but he said that the story was more for kids younger than him : )  He did listen to the whole thing though.
I personally expected a little more educational value out of it but it turned out to be a cute story and I liked the pictures too.  This would be a great bedtime book for when you only have a couple of minutes to read your kiddos a story.  It would be great for the preschool kids : )

Lowe's Build & Grow

disclaimer:  I received nothing in exchange for this post.

This past Saturday my son got to make the birdhouse at the Lowe's Build & Grow Clinic.  As I mentioned in my previous post, Lowe's does these on a regular basis.  You head over here to pre-register.  Then you print out your form and give it to them at the clinic.  When your child finishes his/her project they show the worker,  who will give them an award for completion along with a badge to attach to their apron.  This is totally free and a great activity for the kiddos.

Sorry for the blurry photo : (

So cute, can't wait to see if any birds decide to move in : )

On April 12th at 10 AM they will be making a Recycling Truck like the one below.  You can pre-register your children here.

Pinkalicious

disclaimer:  We received the products below for free in exchange for our honest opinions.  All opinions remain our own.
"Pinkalicious"
by Victoria Kann & Elizabeth Kann

If you are a parent then you will relate to this book completely.  Pinkalicious is a girl who loves, loves, loves pink but sometimes too much pink is even too much for Pinkalicious.  Find out what happens when Pinkalicious wants just one more pink cupcake (sounds so much like the kiddos, doesn't it)...
Just look at all the pretty party supplies they sent us : )  Napkins, plates, lollipops, cupcake wrappers, sprinkles, candy sticks, "Pinkalicious" book, and the "Pinkalicious Cupcake Cookbook"...all pink, of course : )
Mommy in GA:My 8 year old was the first one to read this (more than once).......as SOON as I opened the kit, she is a HUGE pinkalicious fan and has read ALL of the books.  She said that This Pinkalicious was the BEST one she had read!

I read the story to my 9 year old and my 4 year old (my 4 year old is a boy, so he was not that in to it!) My 9 year old said she outgrew Pinkalicious, but really enjoyed this one (probably because her response to everything is , but, can we have a snack?!)

We also enjoyed the cookbook (AWESOME for when you have three girls! I also have an 11 year old)  They LOVED the sprinkles on everything fom cupcakes to the icecream!!

Oh and for the record the lollipops and candy sticks did not make it until we got the cupcakes made!
Here is what our finished cupcakes looked like in their Pinkalicious wrappers and sprinkles : )

Mommy in PA:  The book reminded me of my son.  He's always asking for one more popsicle, one more gumball, one more, one more, one more LOL.  It is a cute book with a great lesson and beautiful pictures.
We had a blast with the cupcake recipe book and the cupcake making supplies.  We ended up making cupcakes for Valentine's Day for my son to take to school this year.  We also sent the teacher a Cupcake Cookbook to share with the kids : )  We did pink cupcakes and chocolate cupcakes for variety and added the sprinkles to both...they turned out very pretty.

Thanks to "Pinkalicious" two of our readers will win their very own copy of the "Pinkalicious Cupcake Cookbook".  Enter below for your chance to win : )
