Mommy in GA: I would like to start this post by saying we admitted earlier this week that we are not the most organized and also further admitted we are procrastinators at heart, My review for the Spatty and Spatty Daddy took a little longer than expected, and I apologize for being even less prepared than Mommy in Pa, I have no pics :(

Okay now for the good stuff!  The Spatty is a 6 inches long and 5/8 inch by 3/8 inches for the tip.  I use my makeup quite a bit but, was not low enough to scrape it all but I shook the bottle to put a film around the bottle and used my spatty at the center and it worked GREAT!!! I used it all the way around the center and was able to see through the bottle getting the extra makeup I always have to throw in the trash!!!!  You can use this for anything with a small opening such as your moisturizer, eye creams, and anything else your spatty will fit into!!!

Don't just think skincare products and makeup though, take your spatty into the kitchen for those small details on your cakes and cookies or you can use it to scrape your frosting containers' I don't know people use your imaginations!!  The spatty is fantastic and it is stiff enough for better results than your spatula and flexible enough to take the curves of the jar the way you need it too!

I also received the Spatty Daddy and would like to tell ya'll I LOVE it too!!!  I have rattled on enough though so I will let Mommy in Pa give you those details below right after I throw in the fact that I think they need a Spatty Mini for things like your mascara and such!!  Just a thought Spatty :)

Mommy in PA:  I used my Spatty Daddy in the kitchen.  Obviously I could have used a regular spatula for the peanut butter but guess what?!?!  The Spatty Daddy doesn't fold over like the regular spatulas so I was able to get a lot more of the peanut butter out.  The Spatty Daddy is very sturdy but flexible enough to get around the curves of the jar.  It was perfect for this task.  I was surprised to find that I got an extra two peanut butter sandwiches out of what was left in the jar after using a regular kitchen knife...what a waste that would have been!

I also used the Spatty Daddy for ketchup and mustard with great results too.  The ketchup and mustard bottle openings are way too small for my regular spatula but the Spatty Daddy was the perfect fit!  No more wasted condiments in my kitchen!

The Spatty Daddy also has a very long handle which makes it great for keeping your hands clean.  I hate it when I try to use a knife to get the last bit of peanut butter and end up with it all over my hand.  The Spatty Daddy kept my hand peanut butter free.

We would like to also let ya'll know that a percentage of profit goes to Water Of Life :)

Thanks for sharing your great product with us Spatty and to our readers' we hope ya'll will grab these up and quit throwing away perfectly good food and make-up!!!

Ageless Derma

disclaimer:  I received the product for free in exchange for my honest review.  All opinions remain my own.

Ageless Derma

I was lucky enough to get in touch with Ageless Derma and receive a sample of Nearly Nude Lip gloss !!!  I can usually tell within a few applications if I am going to love or hate a product, I won't keep you in suspense, I LOVE this product!!!

I am not huge on shiny, or thick or sticky feeling lip gloss and the ageless Derma is none of the above, I put it on and my lips were still moist but, I got to gloss and forget about it for a bit!  I hate the ones you have to re-apply a million times a day or the ones that dry in the crease of your lips! Ageless Derma does not do any of that either!!

I called my aunt (Mommy in Pa) and we were talking when I put the lip gloss on and I told her "Oh holy cow I almost left the house with my lips' being nearly nude!!!"  It was funny at the time but in a way it is a good name for the color, not too dark but, dark enough to know you are wearing it, but, also for the feel of the way the lipgloss feels on your lips'!

Ageless Derma Lip gloss is $15.00 but, well worth it. It will last and make your lips feel great!

"Woolzies" Dryer Balls

disclaimer:  I received the product below for free in exchange for my honest opinions.  All opinions remain my own.
Woolzies Dryer Balls

Product Manufacturer:  Soft By Nature, Inc.
Product Use:  You use them in your dryer to cut down on drying time and fluff your clothes.
Product Features:  100% Pure New Zealand Wool, Hypoallergenic (even for those wool sensitive folks), guaranteed to last for 1,000 loads, contain no chemicals, 100% eco-friendly, and reduces drying time by up to 30%.
Price:  $34.95 (Free Shipping in the US)
Misc:  You can wash them if they need freshened up (just stick them in a thin sock and run them through your washer with detergent and hot water), they are also handmade, No worries about ruining the flame retardant qualities in some clothing, and pure essential oil can be added to your Woolzies after the laundry is dry for you folks who love scent like we do.
Find out More:  woolzies.com, facebook, or twitter

Mommy in PA:  These really do work!   They only shaved off about 10% of my drying time but I always do large loads of laundry and they recommend 8 dryer balls for that.  Now I could get about the same result using a dry towel in the dryer with my clothes but that doesn't have the added benefit of softening them too.  I did notice some sound even though they say they are supposed to be noise free (no big deal there though).

I line dry a lot of laundry when the weather permits.  Anyone who line dries knows that some fabrics tend to get pretty stiff as they dry.  Well in steps the Woolzies, just toss your laundry into the dryer with them for a few minutes and they soften them up again.
The one thing I don't care for is the fact that I can never seem to get them all to stay in the dryer.  The darn things end up following me everywhere...LOL.  I will take a load of laundry to my room to fold and lo and behold one or two have snuck in the basket : )  I also must say that folks who do not have a level floor where their dryer is will get the extra benefit from chasing these buggers across the floor.  I just wish mine didn't roll towards the drain in the basement all the time : )
All in all these are a wonderful product and will be sure to save you money in the long run.  Well worth the initial investment in my book.  I can't wait to try out the essential oil idea as I do love a lot of scent on my laundry.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

"Finding Your Piece"

disclaimer:  I received the book below for free in exchange for my honest opinions.  All opinions remain my own.
"Finding Your Piece:  32 Principles to help you Live Your Calling"
by Julie Corrine

Mommy in PA:  "Finding Your Piece" is a very well organized book about the 32 different things you can do in your life to help you make your dreams a reality.  I was very surprised to see some of the different ideas that Julie came up with that the other books of similar subject that I have read recently didn't really touch upon.

This is a combination story type and self-help.  Julie takes us on her journey from the mainland to Maui.  This is where Julie will be able to "find her piece".  I love the parts about the guy she calls "Wydwell" especially the teeth part (you will just have to read it to find out).  She explains that there are three phases.  The hiding phase is when you realize you feel restless and know you need to make some changes.  The healing phase is where the 32 principles come in to play.  And the calling phase is when you have finally made it to your ideal life situation.
The 32 principles are the most valuable part of this book.  She takes each one and writes a page or two about things that you can do to move on.  She breaks each one down with a definition, clues that you have not mastered this part yet, results that will occur once you master it, and she also gives you the tools that she uses for each one too (action, prayer, and song).  I love her song choices!
Here is a short list of some of the principles that I found most interesting:  observer (pretend you are spectator to any given situation so that you remain nonjudgemental), mastermind (this one is when you tend to think that you have to do everything yourself), and true sleep (making ourselves realize that we deserve sleep and figure out how much we really need).
There is also a huge list of resources in the back of the book for further reading, viewing, and doing.  Thanks Julie!
This book will come in very handy as I continue on my path of positive thinking and shaping my own future.

Crayon Rocks

Product features:  Natural waxes made from American soy beans, Colors come from mineral pigments.
Price:  Varies depending on how many Crayon Rocks you get.
Misc:  Created by a special needs teacher to help children with their tripod grip muscles.
Find out More:  Crayon Rocks
Mommy in GA: These are really cool!! I love the shape because it makes it really easy for my 4 year old to grab a hold of it and do his thing (preferably on paper, NOT my walls!!!)

I think the Crayon Rocks would be great for kids' who have difficulty with regular crayons, they give you a better way to grasp them.

The packaging bag is also really cool because you dump them out to color and then you just scoop them back in the bag instead of trying to get them back in that cardboard box, I still have trouble with those sometimes lol.

The Crayon Rocks also come in different sized orders, You can get an 8 count or a 16 count, and also if you are a teacher you should go to the site because they have other options for you!!!
Here is mommy in PA's youngest showing off his artistic abilities.

Mommy in PA:  Not only are these super cute but also a very high quality crayon.  They kind of remind me of drawing with an oil pastel only not messy like those.  When you color it moves easily on the paper without sticking as much as the regular wax crayons.

I also love the cute bag these come in, much easier storage than the boxes like other brands that always end up getting crushed or trampled on.  And what mother hasn't had to go around picking up the tiny pieces of paper that their kiddos managed to peel off of regular crayons...no issues with these ones : )

Crayon Rocks is offering our readers a chance to win their very own bag of Crayon Rocks.  Enter below for your chance to win!

Caesar's

Disclaimer:  We received the products below for free in exchange for our honest opinions.  All opinions remain our own.

Caesar's Pasta

Product Manufacturer:  Caesar's Pasta Specialties

Product Use:  Frozen pasta products

Product Features:  Gluten-Free, Wheat-Free, All Natural, No WBRO, 0g Trans Fat, oven or microwave preparation, and Organic.

Price:  varies

Misc:  Third generation family owned business, been around since 1967.

Find out More:  www.caesarpasta.comfacebook, and twitter

Mommy in GA: These are fantastic!!!!  I would like to start by telling yall I opened the door for the delivery, all the kids' came running, we opened the box (we had LITERALLY just eaten breakfast) my kids' wanted to open the meals right then and there and eat them lol!!!!

I made them wait till lunch and we ended up heating 3 of them in the microwave and the result was a delicious lunch!! They had a hard time deciding on which ones to try.

Day two with the Caesar Pasta we tried them in the oven.  The oven I think made them taste better BUT, The microwave was not far behind taste wise and appeased the kids' faster!!!

Our favorite was the lasagna and to be honest we did not pick a least favorite because out of the 5 of us at least one of us liked each one!!!

Mommy in PA:  I just have to say that these were the best frozen pasta items I have ever tasted.  Most frozen pastas you can tell were originally frozen.  Not Caesar's!  These tasted just like someone just prepared them and plopped them on my plate.

I was impressed at the variety of pasta dishes they offered too.  It was hard to decide which one to try next...lol.  My husband and I both agreed that the Stuffed Shells with Cheese and Marinara sauce was our overall favorite.  The perfect blend of cheese, sauce and spices.  I also want to mention that I thought that the Chicken Lasagna reminded me somewhat of stuffed peppers.

I made some in the microwave and some in the oven and either way turned out great.  Either way it still means a great dinner with a lot less preparation on my part!

They also have a line of bagged frozen pastas that you just prepare by boiling them in water and when they are done you add them to your favorite sauce.  Again, very simple to prepare and taste just like you made them yourself.

Oh and in case you were wondering how they make such delicious pastas that are gluten-free...it's rice flour!

"How We Love Our Kids"

disclaimer:  I received the book below for free from WaterBrook Press in exchange for my honest opinions.  All opinions remain my own.
"How We Love Our Kids"
by Milan & Kay Yerkovich

Mommy in PA says:
"How We Love Our Kids" teaches us as parents to be able to make small changes in our thinking and actions to get the relationships we want from our children.  Many times parents believe that the children are the ones who need to change when in reality it is us.
Milan and Kay give a lot of good advice from their own experiences.  There are a lot of cute little stories about things that they had gone through to come up with their solutions.  They also have examples based on other families that they have come by over the years.
I love how the book is broke down into the different personality types.  Part 1 is all about us parents.  The different types are The Avoider Parent, The Pleaser Parent, The Vacillator Parent, The Controller Parent, and The Victim Parent.  Each one touches on what that particular parent's strengths and weaknesses are.  You are probably wondering how to tell which one you are.  Well that's easy because each one has a list of characteristics to help you narrow that down.  It is pretty obvious when you start reading down through one of them and go...Oh my, that totally fits me.
Part 2 of the book is all about the different child types.  There is The Avoider Child, The Pleaser Child, The Vacillator Child, The Controller Child and The Victim Child.  Each one touches on what the child's particular strengths and weaknesses are and have a list of things so you can figure out which one your child is.  I love how it explains that some combinations are harder to parent and that it's just a mater of changing small things in the way we communicate with them that can make a huge difference.
Part 3 is about unique children.  Examples are The Introverted Child, The Free-Spirited Child, The Determined Child, The Sensitive Child, and The Premature Child.
Part 4 is all about the healing process, it is never too late to achieve that greater relationship with our children.  The gifts of insight, comfort, power, frustration, confession, laughter, and God each have their own section is this chapter.  These are the tools that you will use to heal your family.
It's nice to know too that all parenting styles have their positives and negatives and that there is still hope for a happy outcome.

Change is good...

Mommy in GA and Mommy in PA have a little something we have to tell yall...we've done a lot of thinking and figured it was about time that we let you in on a little secret...we are procrastinators.  There that wasn't so hard...LOL!  We've gotten behind quite a bit the past couple of weeks and we realized that a lot of it was our inability to stay organized.  We had all those cute little titles for the days of the week and tried our darndest to post things on the appropriate days but what ended up happening was we'd miss the day and put the post off for a whole week to try to keep it organized...well not anymore...this week will now be officially named RAPID FIRE REVIEW WEEK!!!!  Stay tuned...

Directing Your Destiny

disclaimer:  I received the book below for free from Hay House, Inc. in return for my honest opinions.  All opinions remain my own.

"Directing Your Destiny:  How to Become the Writer, Producer, and Director of Your Dreams"
by Jennifer Grace

We've all done it...daydreamed about what it would be like to have the house of our dreams, the job of our dreams, the life of our dreams.  Well what if you could play a major part in making your dreams a reality.  Well that is exactly what this book is about.

Jennifer Grace was at one time a SAG actress, a screenwriter, and a filmmaker.  She takes her experiences in those fields and makes it into a very unique way of looking at positive thinking.  Week 1 is about how to become the writer of your dreams (this is where the daydreaming comes in), week 2 and 3 is about how to become the producer of your dreams (setting intentions- this one I will talk about below because it is my favorite so far), and week 4 is about becoming the director of your dreams (what can I do to help this along).

This isn't just a story of how one person made their dreams come true.  This is a literal step by step guide to help you make it happen.  Each chapter is devoted to a few different techniques that you slowly integrate into your daily routine.  She takes you through baby steps so that it isn't too overwhelming and she even explains the importance of each of your tasks.

I love how at the end of every chapter there is a review of what you are to be doing each day.  This makes it super easy to just flip to those pages and make sure you didn't forget anything.  I will admit that I have not mastered doing all of the things everyday yet but am working on it.  It does take a little bit of time (but who doesn't have an extra 30 minutes or so if it means having what you want in life?).

Now above I mentioned how I would talk more about my favorite part of the book.  Well my favorite part is the setting intentions section.  Intentions are things that you want to make happen (ex: job of your dreams, home of your dreams, great health, etc.).  She later has you make up six note cards with your intentions/affirmations on them.  Here is an example I used "I am proud to see my photograph published", notice the wording has emotion involved.  She explains all of this in great detail about how you really have to feel the way you will feel when you get what you want.  Well about two weeks after I wrote up my cards I received an email from a bank that I had emailed some outdoor photos to.  They had chosen one of my photos for their calendar's honorable mentions page.  I have entered photos in contests like that before with no response so I like to think that my affirmation helped me out here.

I know I will read this book over and over, adding things to my daily routine to keep the positive energy flowing.  I also love how the author refers you to other sources of information.  There is a movie mentioned in one of the first sections.  Needless to say, my daughter and I found the movie on Netflix and watched it that evening.  This book is very inspirational and motivating!

To find out more or get a copy of your own you can head over to Amazon or Hay House.

Tasty Tuesday - Ozeri Stone Earth Pan

disclaimer:  I received the product below for free in exchange for my honest opinions.  All opinions remain my own.

Ozeri Stone Earth Pan
Product Manufacturer:  Ozeri

Product Use:  Cooking food on the stovetop

Misc:  Made from Stonehenge coating from Germany.

Find Out More:  Amazon

Mommy in PA:  This is one of the most exciting things I have gotten a chance to review.  I've been wanting to get one of these type of pans for years so when I got the opportunity to review this one I just had to do it!

I wasn't the only one excited about the Stone Earth Pan.  As soon as I opened the shipping box and showed everyone what was inside my son said with enthusiasm "We have to do the cheese test" LOL!  So below you WILL see the cheese test.

This pan is excellent quality.  One of the first things I noticed was how heavy it was.  It is also extremely durable.  I have issues with my cat getting up on top of my dishwasher sometimes and he's knocked down the occasional pan or two in his day (all of which resulted in dents).  He knocked this pan down the day after I got it and not a dent is to be found...needless to say I am not leaving it on the dishwasher anymore though, just in case.

These pans are meant to be oiled very lightly when you first get them so I used a small drop of olive oil and made sure to get off all of the excess.  I haven't had to use any oil or butter in my pan since.  The non-stick cooking surface works excellent as you can see in the photos above and below.  Above being the fore mentioned cheese test and below being the egg test.  You have got to watch my video clip.  I am actually excited to cook!

Clean up is super easy too!  Since nothing sticks cleanup is a breeze.

This pan will have a happy home in my kitchen for years to come.  It has now taken the place of three other pans in my kitchen that I just don't want to deal with anymore (they had the regular non-stick surfaces that eventually just weren't non-stick anymore).  So in closing this is a great pan, well worth the cost, and it is the perfect size for a lot of different foods.

Mommy in GA:This is a fun product!!!  We are not big wine drinkers but It does make for a nice gift when you go to someone elses house and this will be the perfect way to deliver it!!!!

The really cool thing about MY Bella Vita Bottle net bags are that they came in black and red (GO DAWGS!!!!!!) and we are Georgia Bulldog fans in this house :)

So I used my Bella Vita Bottle Net Bags stacked for  a full effect Georgia fan gift set!! :)

Yeah, I guess the green background really wasn't a great idea...lol!

Mommy in PA:  These are the coolest things ever!  I don't know how many times I've walked past these laying on my table and just had to pick them up and play with them.  They worked great for holding my Olive Oil.  At first I was a little worried that they would tear with all the weight but they hold up great!  I was also a little worried that once I used it to carry something that it wouldn't return to it's natural flat shape on it's own but it did.  I know I will find a lot of other uses for these besides the obvious ones.  My son thought the olive green one we got made a pretty cool ARMY hat...LOL!  I would really like a smaller version maybe made out of a rubber-like material to carry my drink bottle around : )

We would like to apologize for the lack of posts lately.  We've been sorta taking a little blogcation since Mommy in GA has been getting her kiddos ready for back to school time and Mommy in PA has been canning beans and making hay.  Hoping to get things back to normal this week...hopefully today.  Stay tuned ...
