  You probably remember Kirk Cameron from "Growing Pains", well Kirk is all grown up now and producing films of his own.  A lover of all things Christmas, Kirk was saddened by all the attempts to bash Christmas as we know it, and thus the film was born.  Let's help Kirk put the Christ back in Christmas!

  "Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas" is set in a typical family home at Christmas time.  His sister-in-law has everything decorated, hot cocoa warming, presents wrapped under the tree, and even a Santa Clause.  But who is the Grinch, sitting off by himself...it's her husband, Christian. 

  When Kirk's character realizes that Christian isn't enjoying the festivities he heads into the other room to have a chat with him, but he's not there.  Kirk finds him sitting in the family car.  So Kirk proceeds to sit with him and listen to why he says that Christmas just isn't right.

  Christian believes that all the decorations, presents, Santa Clause, and even the Christmas tree have absolutely nothing to do with the birth of Jesus.  Kirk listens patiently but then helps Christian by explaining how each one of these things does have to do with the baby Jesus. 

  By the end of the film, Christian is a believer and you get to witness him celebrating the Christmas feeling for the first time. 

  Mommy in PA:  I was so excited when we got chosen for this project.  Just like Kirk, I am a lover of all things Christmas.  But just like Christian, I wondered how all of this other stuff really fits in.  Kirk's stories about the swaddling cloth, the Christmas tree, and Santa Clause really do make a lot of sense. 

  You will be amazed by how Kirk's character explains these things to Christian.  It really makes you think.  I would tell you more but you're just gonna have to go see it for yourself.

  This is a great family film to take your kiddos to.  I'm sure they would get a kick out of the dancing at the end, it was one of my favorite parts.

  As part of the project we were able to ask Kirk a couple of questions and were able to participate in a phone conference with him while he answered them.  Our question was "What is your favorite holiday food?"  Well Kirk likes all holiday foods : )  Me too, Kirk!
