Happy 50th Birthday Pop-Tarts!!!
Mommy in PA: I was chosen by Chatterbox through Houseparty.com to spread the word about Pop-Tarts celebrating it's 50th year. Pop-Tarts have been popping out of toasters everywhere since 1964. When I was a kid I just remember having the blueberry and strawberry kinds...oh how times have changed!
We went up to Walmart the other day and purchased a box of the NEW Pop-Tarts Birthday Cake Flavor (16 count box) using our free coupon. This is a limited edition flavor and only available at WalMart. As a matter of fact I only saw two boxes at our WalMart so if you are wanting to try them then you may want to hurry.
Here is my family's thoughts on the Pop-Tarts Birthday Cake Flavor: I was the first one to try them and my initial thought was how much they actually taste like cake. My daughter also enjoyed them and actually asked to take a pack to school with her to show her friends. My son also likes them, the sprinkles on the top were his favorite part : )
We also decided to try them out as an ice cream sandwich using vanilla ice cream between the two halves of a Birthday Cake Pop-Tart, see photo above...Delicious!
These were a big hit at my house and I'm sure they will be at yours too!
