"Tippy and the Runaway Cloud"
by Theodora Klein-Carroll
The corn plants are in need of rain. It is up to Tippy to save the day. Tippy and his loyal cloud pony, Misty must find Puffy Cloud and bring him back to water the corn plants. But will Grumpy Lumpy get in the way? You'll just have to read it to find out. There are also pictures that your kids can color and cut out to make a mobile of the characters.
Here's what Mommy in GA and Mommy in PA's children thought of the book:
Mommy in GA:My 11 year old decided that she is too big for these stories but, my 9 and 8 year old lisened to it, they thought it was ok BUT my 4 year old LOVED it!!! He loves trains and cowboys......if you read the story you will get the reference as to why he was so tuned in!!!
I think that this is very cute for your preschool children, it helps explain the need that plants have for water and how they get it in a more simplifies way than what we learn as we get older :)
This was a great little story and the pictures were good, LOVE LOVE LOVE the idea of a mobile in the back for the kids' to have something to play with as well :)

Mommy in PA: My 8 year old son was interested in the mobile that you can cut out of the back of the book but he said that the story was more for kids younger than him : ) He did listen to the whole thing though.
I personally expected a little more educational value out of it but it turned out to be a cute story and I liked the pictures too. This would be a great bedtime book for when you only have a couple of minutes to read your kiddos a story. It would be great for the preschool kids : )
