Klutchclub Box Review

Sorry i know it is not Monday but due to the long weekend and 4 children ;)  I was a little slow getting my review up i apologize and hope you enjoy the content!!

OK so last week i got a box from a company called.......Klutchclub!!!!  They sent an information card telling you about the products and several products to taste so after dinner the other night i sat down with my four little ones to see what kind of snacks out of the box they liked!!!  We found we all have very similar taste buds so that was fun!!

Inside my box i received a peach mango Barlean's fish oil (full size!!!), Kind Bar,No Nuts! Seed and Fruit mix,  Zico coconut water, A Hy Drive energy drink mix, Plentils crunchy lentil chips, Tea Forte (4 different types) to try, Sheaterra organics rose hips black soap (deep pore facial cleanser)Power Yoga with Kristin McGee (50 minutes worth of DVD!!!)  And a 25 dollar gift card for Hyde....at http://www.yogahyde.com/ .

Everything i received looks great and is very generously proportioned! Like i said me and all 4 of the kiddos shared!!  I have not yet Had a chance to try the fish oil.

the kind bar was great it is a nice healthy snack and.....my kids wanted to know if we had more because it was delicious (what mom would not love hearing that about a nutritious snack??!!!)  The Kind Bar had nuts and chocolate and peanut butter

The No Nuts! Seed and Fruit mix was great as well and again my kids wanted more, as did i!!! If you love trail mix you will love the seed and fruit mix (minus the nuts but still fantastic!!)

Zico coconut water did not receive as great reviews as the rest, my 9 year old liked it but my 2 year old said it was nasty!  It is not a bad product but It does have to be your thing!

Plentils crunchy chips were OK but, they are a little bland for our crew of taste buds again a great product but you have to like that kind of thing!

Power Yoga:  The DVD will have to be tried later when i don't have 4 or 5 kids under my feet all day!! (Ga has early summer!!!)

Tea Forte: The tea was fantastic all though i only tried the honey yuzu....am looking forward to trying the others

Yoga Hyde: I have not checked out this site or used my 25 $ gift certificate yet but intend to do so soon!!

Hy Drive: The kids tried the energy drink  i know what was i thinking?!!!) They loved it though!!

She Terra Organics, I tried this product and love it!!  I not only used it on my face but when i gt this product i actually tried it on my feet (they get super dry and it is so hard for me to find products that work on them!)  But i used this on them 1 time so far and put lotion them (which does not work by itself!)  and they were almost soft immediately!!!

If you are interested in receiving a KLUTCHclub box valued at around $50 for Just $18 or less a month click here to see what it is all about.

I've gotten a sample of these in the mail before and I must say that I was surprised that the whole thing dissolved even in the cold water.  I put them in with a load of pretty stained jeans from when we went out fishing and all the jeans came out looking like they did before they were coated in mud.  Very impressed!
These have a special three-chamber design that cleans, fights stains, and brightens all in one.

Disclaimer: I received the sample I mentioned above for free but all opinions are my own.

Storytime Sunday

  "Native Treasure"
by Rita K. Nicholson with Vaughn Wilson

This week's Storytime Sunday is by Mommy in PA.  The book is titled "Native Treasure" by Rita K. Nicholson with Vaughn Wilson.  It is published by Dorrance Publishing Co. Inc. and available to purchase here

Mommy in PA says:  "Native Treasure" is a beautiful collection of photographs and sayings about the Appaloosa horse breed.  The photographs are beautiful.  They give you a real glimpse into what it is like to have one of these marvelous and beautiful animals.
I love that it tells you of the history behind the Appaloosa, as I'm sure there are many horse lovers out there who have never even stopped to think about each breed and how it actually came to be what it is today.  From the Spanish explorers, to Nez Perce tribe, to Lewis & Clark, and their almost non-existence these horses have such a deep history.  I am now inclined to read even more about them.
The book has numerous quotes and sayings throughout.  Some are from the King James Version of the Bible, some from Indian tribes, and some from the Lewis & Clark expedition.  All are very beautiful and I love how the author placed them with the perfect photos.  This is one of those books that you can read in a few minutes but look at the gorgeous photographs for hours.  This would make the perfect gift for any horse lover.
My 14 year old daughter (who wants to be an equestrian when she graduates) also loved the book.  She said "What I liked about the book was that it had great pictures and great sayings".
In summary, we loved the photographs and the sayings and thought they went very well together.  I would love to see more books by this author about other horse breeds.

Disclaimer:  I received this book free from Dorrance Publishing Co, Inc. but all opinions are my own.

Washing Wednesday

Mommy in Ga says we have touched base on the carpet freshener made with baking soda and cinnamon if you missed that post you can pull up our washing Wednesday posts and have a look at it!!!  If you enjoyed that post you may enjoy the rest of this one...i will be sharing more cleaning tips with baking soda yay!!!

Baking Soda: cleaning your bathroom

To clean your hairbrushes or combs put warm water in your sink and add baking soda let them soak and rinse with clean water!

Baking Soda: cleaning miscellaneous

Remove stains from most surfaces by applying a baking soda paste (3 parts baking soda 1 part water) let it stand for a few minutes and use a rag to wipe clean

Drains all through your house use 1/4 cup baking soda and 1/2 cup vinegar this causes the baking soda to fizz your drains clean and rinse with hot water

For all you  smokers apply a small amount of baking soda in your ashtrays to keep your stale cigarette smell down inside or outside of your home

Sprinkling baking soda in your litter box helps eliminate some of that kitty smell

To quickly eliminate those smelly pet odors Or more commonly wet dog smell, sprinkle baking soda on the pet fur and brush thoroughly

To help remove spills blot up as much of the mess as you can, sprinkle with baking soda and vacuum, this helps prevent leaving any of the smell and also helps eliminate any bad odors that might otherwise linger

You can wash your childrens' toys with 1/4 cup baking soda and 1 qt water, either submerge the toys or use a clean rag to wipe them clean and rinse with clean water

For pots and pans or stubborn grill grates you can soak them in baking soda and water....depending on "how stuck" they are will determine soaking time and they should come clean pretty easily!!

If you have stains in the floor of your carport or garage you can sprinkle with baking sod, scrub it, and rinse away.

Baking Soda: With your laundry

If you have a hamper or laundry basket sprinkle it with a little bit of baking soda to keep your basket smelling fresher, i know here there are 6 sets of smelly socks a day waiting to be cleaned lol!!

To remove grease stains apply a baking soda paste (3parts baking soda 1 part water) let stand and wash as you normally would

Baking Soda: outside

Before packing away that camping gear at the end of summer sprinkle with a little baking soda and maybe some of that stale smell will be eliminated when you open it up next year

You can clean your kiddie pool (mildew and all) with some baking soda and warm water

If you have enjoyed these tips stay tuned tomorrow we will have tips for your vinegar uses and next Thursday more baking soda uses to come!!!!!  If you use a lot of baking soda you can get the bulk size bags at your local wholesale (bj's or Sam's etc....) or wal-mart.  You can use it for almost everything and the best part is there is no expiration date!!!!!

I recently received a copy of the DVD Copy-Kids eat fruits and vegetables to do a review for all you readers!!!  I am very glad to have been picked to do this review for them as most of you I am always looking for creative ways to try to get my little ones to eat fruits and vegetables!!
I sat down and watched this DVD initially with my 3 year old son and as we were watching the audience kept growing!! By the time we got to the end of the movie it was me, my 3 year old and all 3 of his sisters who are 6, 7 and 9 years old!!  The video was great it included many bright colors and lots of cute kids to keep the attention of the audience, and every time a reel was over my little one would say more kids!!!! He hardly had patience for me to turn on another one.  The video is set up so if you have trouble with your kids and one particular food you can show them that one video clip.  The only negative thing I have to say is I wish there was a way to run the video the whole way through instead of by segment other than that I have nothing but positive feed back for yall and i think you should definitely get a copy if your kids give you a hard time :)
As we watched the video my 3 year old would point to foods and say the names of them....not only is it showing them it can be fun to eat it will teach them about the different fruits and vegetables out there!!It is 115 minutes of fun filled videos divided into 12 chapters that are 6 to 8 minutes long and focus on bell pepper, carrots, raspberries, broccoli, bananas, strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers, oranges, avocados, apples and blueberries.  Dr. Jay Gordon also has a video to tell you about ideal nutrition for kids, Not only was this DVD fun for my kids it was educational and helpful to me as well!!

Hugs and Kisses

this book is titled Hugs and Kisses, A Michael Neugebauer book

Mommy in Ga says: This is a very sweet book about a puppy who gets up before his parents and sisters, The puppy goes searching through the surrounding area to all the other animals searching for something.........He is searching for who out of all the animals give the very best kisses!  The puppy goes all around to come home and find that his mommy was very worried about where he had been all that time and she kissed him, he discovered it had been his mommies kisses had been the very best the whole time!!  The illustration was great and the book was long enough to get the story across but not too long that my kiddos got bored, here are the kids' reviews:

My 9 year old daughter:  " I though everything was good, except that the puppy wandered off  and nobody knew where he was, other than that i liked the story."

My 7 year old daughter:  "I didn't really like the book, I thought it was strange the puppy was going around letting all those animals kiss him.  That is gross."

My 6 year old dughter: "I liked everything except when the ducks kissed him, that was weird!!!"

My 3 year old son:  Well he didn't say much about it but he did sit through the whoe thig and really liked the pictures.

Overall i think my kids enjoyed it and so did i, I think the morale of the story is, the best love you can find comes from your family at home!!!!
Disclaimer: I purchased this book myself andreeivedno compensation for review.  All opinions are my own and my childrens!!

"All You" advice about free shipping......I totally agree with this post, what good does it do to save money if you are still spending more money????   Read these tips from "All You" and learn a few tricks to actually save you money!!!!
This guest post is from our friends at JoeShopping.com
By Andrew Kardon
At a time when there never seems to be enough time in the day, there’s no question that online shopping offers convenience, as well as competitive deals. (E-commerce sales reached $227.6 billion in 2010.)
The downside? Shipping fees: shopping online can end up costing you an extra $10 or even $15 purely for shipping and handling. Of course savvy shoppers know to search for coupon codes and free shipping offer before clicking “buy” to negate those extra costs.
The convenience of ordering online and free shipping? It almost seems too good to be true. And in some cases… it is.
Whether you find a code for free shipping or a site that regularly offers free shipping with a minimum purchase, be sure to remember the following tips.
Read the Fine Print
Many stores will tempt you with free shipping offers, but be sure to read the terms of the deal. Often times the complimentary shipping doesn’t apply to specific product categories or big ticket items like flat screen TVs or exercise equipment like a treadmill.
Don’t Pay More Just to Get Free Shipping
You want a book that costs $12 … but there’s free shipping if you spend $25, so you hunt to find a few other books to bring your order up. Nice, except did you really want to spend that extra $13? Shipping may have been only $5 on that one book you actually wanted.
There are plenty of online stores that offer free shipping with no minimum purchase, so be sure to do your homework.
Timing is Everything
Planning on gifting those SpongeBob Legos at a birthday party this weekend? You may have to forgo free shipping. Most stores that offer free shipping do so via free ground shipping, which means it could take a week to 10 days for your item to arrive. If your item is out of stock, that will add even more time onto delivery, so plan ahead.
Check Coupon Combos
Every site is different, but if you must use a coupon code to get free shipping, that generally means you can’t use another coupon. (Unless the site lets you stack coupons, meaning use more than one code at once.)
Take a hard look at which will save you the most money — a discount code or free shipping — before checking out.
Don’t Lose Those Savings on Returns
So your item is finally on the way, free of charge. But what if it arrives and it’s the wrong size? Or not what you thought it’d be? Or, you just hate it?
Returning items purchased online can be difficult, and chances are you’ll be stuck paying for return shipping. (Unless you shop at an online store that accepts returns for free.) Be sure to familiarize yourself with an online store’s full return policies before you make any purchases.
Andrew Kardon is the president and co-founder of JoeShopping.com a super-friendly coupons, deals and rewards site, dedicated to saving you money. He’s also a freelance writer who wishes he could get free shipping on sushi every single day.
