"Frame 232"

by Wil Mara

Hard to believe it's been 50 years...

Mommy in PA:  You hear the phrase Kennedy assassination and what else tends to come to mind...conspiracy theories.   Shelia Baker's mother had a secret, a secret that had slowly eaten her up inside.  Had she not decided to leave work that day and disguise herself as the infamous Babushka Lady, maybe she wouldn't have felt like people were watching her every move from that day on.

Shelia's mother was there that day in Dealey Plaza, video camera in hand, witnessing not only the assassination of our nation's President but also witnessing something that nobody else did.  She would spend the rest of her lifetime hiding that piece of history and passing not only the history down to her daughter but also passing on the anxiety she felt with it.  Should have she destroyed all evidence of it's existance?  Should she have taken it to authorities?  Now her daughter was left with the same choices...

Shelia decides that the best course of action is to look for someone she can trust.  She finds this when reading an article about a billionaire who was becoming quite the sleuth at finding the truth behind high profile mysteries (like the dissapearance of Amelia Earhart).  Would Jason Hammond be able to help her?

This is an excellent book based on an interesting conspiracy theory that came about after the Kennedy assassination.  The author does a great job at letting the reader get to know what makes the characters tick by going into a lot of detail about their past.  For example, Jason is the way he is because he lost his family in a tragic plane crash, leaving his father's fortune to him.

Once you start reading you won't want to put it down.  I personally can't wait to read more of this series, Frame 232 is book one in a suspense series about Jason Hammond.
