KitchenwarePlus Bamboo Cutting Boards
So pretty!
Mommy in PA:  If you're like me then nothing else screams "professional chef" than a beautiful, sturdy, wooden cutting board : )  I was so excited when I got chosen for this promotion!  My son and I have been watching a lot of "Guy's Grocery Games", "Cutthroat Kitchen", and "Chopped" and are just in awe of their techniques.  One of the things that seems to be commonplace in a professional style kitchen is the wooden cutting board.  My son and I both had the same reaction when I took these out of the box..."I can't wait to chop something up"!!!
I personally have only once been blessed with a wooden cutting board but it was short lived...someone stuck it in the sink to soak...big NO, NO!  Luckily these cutting boards actually came with care instructions and I am now aware that you cannot immerse a wooden cutting board...you just scrub them up with hot, soapy water.
So I love that these are very low maintenance. Scrub with hot, soapy water after use and be sure to oil them monthly.  Simple : )
The medium cutting board measures 13" x 8.5" and the large one measures 18" x 13.5".  The medium is good for when you are only dicing up one or two ingredients whereas the large one works well when chopping up multiple ingredients or when working with larger objects...like a whole chicken.  I personally know I will be using my large one a lot shortly.  It is archery season here right now, followed by rifle season in November and with three hunters in my household we should have a lot of fresh venision to process : )  The large cutting board is really going to save my tabletop.
Hard to believe that's a whole cucumber, 1/4 of an onion, and a whole block of cheese.
As you can see by the picture above I was able to chop up all of my ingredients for my spring salad on the large board, much easier than having to dirty multiple bowls to put my ingredients in while I chop the others.  I also love how sturdy these are.  I was currently using some of those flimsy, bendable plastic cutting boards.  The size of them was nice but I always hated washing them.  It is really hard to hold them down in the sink and scrub them when they are bigger than the bottom of the sink...I won't be having that issue with these : )  I also like that my onion and my cucumber don't slide all over the place like they did on the plastic ones.
I did notice one thing when I was washing it off after dicing up my ingredients, there were a couple of very small strings of wood but I assume that is just because they are new or that all wooden cutting boards do this.  I will have to use them a bit more to be sure.
I just LOVE the looks of these too.  I am not embarrassed to leave these sitting out on my countertop as they are absolutely gorgeous.
They are also 100% guaranteed and eco-friendly.  If you are interested in getting yourself a set of these cutting boards just head over here.
